Many religious families put great effort into raising their children to be faithful. They carefully choose the right school, monitor their friends, and the mother takes special care during pregnancy and nursing. Parents teach religious values and practices with dedication. Yet, when those children reach their teenage or young adult years, the results are often disappointing. A child who used to pray may stop praying. A daughter who used to wear hijab may take it off. Some even begin to reject religion altogether. Why does this happen? The root cause lies in our superficial view of religious upbringing. We focus on appearances and outward behaviors, but fail to build the inner foundation of faith within our children.

“The Grounded Upbringing”, will dive deep into this issue;
how to raise children who don’t just love God and the Prophet when they’re small, but remain faithful through adolescence and adulthood.

Our program includes four main parts:

  1. A New Perspective on Parenting:
    We’ll explore the true meaning of upbringing and how it differs from the common assumptions we hold.
  2. Review and Critique of Common Parenting Methods:
    We’ll discuss popular approaches that may seem effective but often lead to shallow, short-lived faith.
  3. Understanding the Grounded Upbringing Approach:
    You’ll learn how to nurture deep, resilient faith so your child can stand strong even during the challenges of teenage years.
  4. Practical and Actionable Steps:
    Finally, we’ll share real-life strategies you can apply at home to strengthen your child’s spiritual foundation.
